for years my blog has been spelling “ya’ll” exclusively the wrong way, because it makes people unhappy and i thrive on that. but please know i’ve been punished for this: i can’t look at the correct spelling anymore without thinking it’s a typo. i see “ya’ll” in other people’s posts and my awful gremlin brain wants to correct it. look, i even misspelled it just then by accident. i can’t even type it correctly on purpose.

!!!!!!! i just noticed i spelled it wrong again by accident the 2nd time in the above post, i tried with all my might and my wicked little fingers wouldn’t cooperate, truly we retread the same road at the risk of all other paths becoming overgrown and lost to time
